Memorial Day Murph

Join us this Memorial Day at CrossFit Hopkins for “Murph” in honor and remembrance of Lt. Michael P. Murphy and all our fallen U.S. veterans. Together, we will take on the Murph workout:

1 Mile Run

100 Pull-ups

200 Push-ups

300 Air Squats

1 Mile Run

The workout can be scaled as needed for all fitness levels.

After the workout, join us for a post-Murph brunch potluck at the gym! If you’re able, please bring a breakfast dish or side to share with everyone. The gym will provide a variety of beverages!

The Murph Challenge is not just a physical test, but also a mental and emotional one. Participants are pushed to their limits and are encouraged to keep pushing through the pain and exhaustion, just as Lieutenant Murphy did during his final moments. The event is held annually on Memorial Day, and people from all over the world come together to honor Lieutenant Murphy and all those who have given their lives in service to our country. The Murph Challenge is a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our military and a testament to the strength and resilience of the human spirit.

Once you register, you will not only be pledging to participate in the Hero WOD 'MURPH', joining a unique group of participants who pay tribute to LT. Michael P. Murphy, but you will also be contributing to a prestigious organization founded by the Murphy family.

After completing The Murph Challenge, each registrant will be asked to return to TheMurphChallenge.com and submit their 'MURPH' time to compare their achievement with other participants worldwide. All times submitted will be displayed on the Official Worldwide Leaderboard found at TheMurphChallenge.com. From that board, the top 5 Men and top 5 Women will be recognized for their efforts.

CFHK at Tough Mudder

CrossFit Hopkins will be participating in the 2025 Tough Mudder 15K in Hugo, MN on June 29th in the 10am heat. Spots are still available if you’d like to join in! We will take on the Tough Mudder as a team and intend to keep the run pace relaxed in order to stay together as a group.

Join us for a fun night out! We’ll go to the Conquer Ninja Gym in Eden Prairie to have some fun and test our grip, fitness and nerve. We’ll have the gym for 1 hour and 15 minutes, then we can wrap up and head to dinner to refuel! *If you don’t want to go to the ninja gym, you’re welcome to join us afterwards for dinner. PLEASE RSVP FOR BOTH THE NINJA GYM AND DINNER AT LINK BELOW.

12 Days of Fitness WOD & Holiday Cookie Exchange

Per CFHK tradition, we’ll do the 12 Days of Fitness WOD the Saturday before Christmas - ugly Christmas sweaters welcome!

The 12 Days of Fitness workout is 12 movements performed in the format of the 12 Days of Christmas song - starting with 1 rep of the first movement, then 2 reps of the second movement and 1 rep of the first movement, then 3 reps of the third movement, 2 reps of the second movement and 1 rep of the first movement, etc. If it sounds confusing, don’t worry! We’ll go over it more detail the day of the workout and it will also be written down for all to follow.

Following the workout, we’ll have a holiday cookie exchange! This will be a fun way to share your favorite holiday cookie with everyone and leave with a plate full of assorted cookies to enjoy or take to a holiday gathering! If you plan to participate in the exchange, please bring:

  • 2-3 dozen of one kind of holiday cookie or treat

  • tongs or some kind of utensil for people to use for your platter of treats

The gym will provide:

  • plates for everyone to use to build an assortment of cookies

  • seran wrap

CFHK Halloween Shenanigans

Join us for the 3rd Annual Halloween Shenanigans! This partner “competition” will include 3-5 workouts as well as a costume contest. It should be noted that for this event, the word competition is used very loosely! It’s definitely a “for fun” event with the costume contest really being the more competitive aspect of the event over the workouts. Grab a partner, find a costume and see how long everyone’s costumes hold up while we work out together! Free for CFHK members. Look for specific timeline and sign up info coming soon!
